Roof Batten Sizes
Hi all
The plans for my workshop call for 38x50 F8HW roof battens (for a sheet metal roof), but I'm having a bugger of a time finding them. All the places I've been to say that they don't really use F8HW for battens any more, but F17HW or MGP10/12 pine.
Without wanting to bother the inspector, am I ok so long as I use something suitable in the span tables?
35x70 MPG10 will give me the span that I need, 35x45 F17 will almost double it.
