A Good Day!
Went to the old tool sale in Sydney this morning with my dad.
Picked up an absolutely mint Tyzack #120 brass back dovetail saw - still had the sticker on the blade, never touched wood - for $90. I dithered for a while but finally grabbed it - nice score
Then I picked up a mint Stanley #78 - in the box, never been used - for $50. Took me about half a second to say yes to that one
Spent the afternoon putting the first couple of coats of Danish oil on my bench. Looking really good. Should be done in a couple days.
Then I decide to check out eBay. Picked up a mint type 13 Stanley #4 for $100. Not the bargain of the century, but cheaper than the sale today and in very nice condition
In half an hour I'll sit down to my favourite dinner, then hopefully our daughter will go to bed early.

Whilst I can't compete with Daryl, I too had a pretty Ok day.
Took a month of organising, but I managed a world record for me, 7 hours play time in the shed.
Fixed down the top of my re-worked bench, mounted the vice, whacked in a few dog holes. Even had time to finish sanding, scraping a CD rack I'm making.
Life is goooodBoring signature time again!
