Screeding a shower base??
Hi All I just found this forum and joined immediately!
I just jackhammered up the tiles from my shower base, its one of those 80's designs which is built up about 120mm with a front ledge about 150mm and then a higher step between the shower and bath. I just want to lay new tiles over the top of the concrete step, but its a bit messed up from the jachhammer.
Can I just run a thin layer of mortar or concrete over this to make it nice and smooth ready for tiling? What material is best to use, ie mortar, or sand & cement mix?
I have a tub of ready to use waterproof compound which I will paint over the top of it before I tile, is this the correct method?
Cheers!
Brett
