Which timber for front porch californian bungalow
Hi,
I've had to replace the front porch on my calafornian bungalow. The boards inside are baltic but to soft to be placed on the porch. The porch is covered and faces east so it get a little sun in the morning but not much mostly around the stairs. I plan to use T+G and secret nail them. The orientation of the boards are also awkward as they are 90 degrees to the front of the house, one side of the porch requires boards 2m long and the other side of the porch is about 1000mm long. So it may be difficult to get a sand in. The idea is to get the boards in a condition that wont require sanding, hopefully just lay and seal if its possble.
Can anyone recommend a specifc type of timber and/or supplier in east suburbs of melbourne. Any suggestion o nthe type of polish to use would be good.
Cheers
Ramoun
