Wooden bathtub
Hi. A friend is contemplating getting a wooden bathtub. I hadnt heard of it before today but assume she is thinking of something like the attached photo. Apparently Japanese - although mostly made in China. I'm assuming there would be hole drilled in the bottom and a standard waste fitted, which would be permanently attached to the existing waste pipe. I'm wondering:
Are there any plumbing standards issues with these in Australia ?
Would it have to be installed by a licensed plumber ?
Has anyone had any experience with them ?
Any negatives to consider, besides the obvious ones of rotting, leaking and drying out ?
cheers and thanks
Arron
