Recently laid floor has some issues
I recently had a WA timber overlay select grade floor laid in my house in Canberra.
I used someone from this forum (he came up from Sydney to do the job) but he has since gone bankrupt and doesn't want to know me to fix a few issues. Actually he got quite difficult and basically refused to help me or contribute payment for someone else to come and fix. He has since moved up north.
It cost us a lot of money so now I need an option to make it look better (within a very tight budget)
He used Synteko semi gloss 2 pack but the finish is really matt and in some rooms shows a line/patches in places. There is also a funny spot that look like something was put down and left a residue before the polish was put over it. I have also found a few places where he 'missed' putting in the putty to fill some gaps.
I did contact Synteko in Sydney and they advised that I could just put a coat of the gloss 2 pack over the top to fix the finish but I really also need someone to look at the other issues.
I am hoping that someone can help with a suggestion or other.
