    Question New DIY Renovators

    G'day all,

Have been coming to your site on and off and found it always pops up when I google some obscure building question, so thanks for that. We are building a two storey extension after being eaten out by white ants initially in the old section of our house, which we had not long renovated, and I might say, the ants just loved the new tassie oak flooring which we had laid and munched their way through certain sections, miss two boards and move onto the next and so on. It took months of waiting and a mere 4,000 bucks for them to finally be lured to baits which were installed by professionals.

I have many questions but one is we have a large outdoor deck and I'm wanting a solid type balustrading for privacy and considering using marine ply or similar has anyone any ideas or tips on this project (one of many). It is a weathertex weatherboard extension, so looking for something a bit different. Look forward to being involved in the forum, thanks.

    Cheers Chez
