I am a designer / model maker for a large gift ware company.
I design using CAD which is a top tool when designing projects in wood.
I also use cnc, make nylo plates, brass etching using acid (these are used for the model making, but come in for my wood work projects to.
I served my time as a carpenter but after 10 years i got a bit sick of the cold wet winters in the lakedistrict.
most of my wood work, is carving routed jewellery boxes.
This site looks mint and i hope to pick up tips on new carving tools and other things and help others If i can.
I have attached some images of a carved box which was one of my early commissions that went over to LA.
Can you tell what it is
