Default WOODWORKING QUIZ for 13 July 04

    Good Evening Friends,
Now that we know how the block are made and by the article supplied by Bob, yesterday we found that there are many different sizes of glass block made. Todays question is how thick are they typically?

No doubt the sizes available will vary from area to area depending on common regional construction. Around here all the ones I've seen have 200 x 200 faces to fit into block construction and are either 100 or 150 deep. Thickness I wouldn't know as I've never smashed one open to find out.

Default WOODWORKING QUIZ ANSWER for 13 July 04

    Good Evening Mick,
You are correct in your answer, there as here in the USA they will vary some by being from 3 5/8" - 3 7/8" in thickness. However the nominal size is always figured as 4" thick to be accommodating with a 4" concrete block.

    Thank you for your support.
