Rust Spots on Exterior Rendered Wall
I am preparing to paint the exterior of my house. It is a rendered masonry surface that was painted only 6-7 years ago (I bought the house near new). I have pressure washed the exterior and noticed a few rust spots which I assume to have originated from impurities in the render used (iron deposits in the sand used perhaps). Can anyone tell me whether I should gouge out these sections and fill with some sort of product before painting or could I get away with a dab of rust converter and simply paint over it? Thanks in advance.
