Default Radiant 129L hot water heater leaking

I recently purchased an old cottage and it has a Radiant 125A118 125L hot water heater that's working perfectly but it has some rusty looking water leaking from behind the electrical part as in picture three.

I'm wondering can these heaters be repaired or are they like most things made today, just throw away.

    It's a Radiant 125A118 129L heater that was made 09.12.09

With out inspecting it my guess would it has gone to God time for new one, looks like the tank has rusted out, 12 years would be well over its use by date.

Looks identical to the one my parents had to replace recently.
I turned the power off and popped that black thermostat out ( it just clips in place by that gal bracket )
The tank had a rust hole behind the thermostat, I reckon yours will be rusted there too.
They had to replace with a new system.

If it is indoors can you afford to wait for it to let go and dump it's contents on the floor?

Sounds good, I'll go buy the new Dux Radiant Proflow 125L and have the plumber out here connect it up to the existing pipework.
