    Default Hi new member

Hi everyone, just a new member here. I'm a mum of 2, with a son who loves building and making things with his hands. He's 8 years old and time he graduated from lego to the real thing

I'm in Sydney, would love to know where I can get tools and how to help him get started, I know wood carving is something that he would love to do and am seeking ideas and places to find tools. I'm near Parramatta so anywhere near there to buy tools and wood etc would be great!

G'day Code and welcome to the gatheing!!

Your little fellow is the right age to start his woodorking journey!. Get real tools, not toy ones, otherwise he will only meet frustration and disappointment.

Welcome to the forum code. I must agree with artme on the tool quality thing. You are better off with one good tool than 3 crappy ones.
