Dead dvr
What a wonderful way to end the week!!!!
Went to the workshop to spin up a quick pen and found the ELCB operated. Turned off everything that came off of the circuit then reset the switch.
At first I suspected the compressor as being the culprit so left it until last.
Switched on the radio, it worked
Switched on the grinder, it worked
Switched on the Lathe.......pops from the lathe and the safety switch operated
!@#E@*Y&(&TE$#!)(@#&_)(*(#)!@E)!@(&)#(&!@)(#&#$_
and that is the censored version
I am now awaiting a call from Jim Carol to find out who to send it to so it can be repaired.I try and do new things twice.. the first time to see if I can do it.. the second time to see if I like it

Brudda, you need to pull out every plug; switch is not enuff.
Assume this circuit is just for the shed? O/wise, devices with water around are prone to throwing the RCD, like washers and cordless kettles. (EDIT: do you have any water using or heating devices in the shed? eg. aquarium heater for home brew?
If no luck there ....
If it were me I'd pull the red plate off and vac out all dust; I'd chk the power toggle switch with a multi-meter with power lead removed 30 mins b4hand.
I'm afraid that the grapevine reports PCB failures but let's hope it doesn't get to that.
Good luck.Cheers, Ern

Done ALL of that and more ERN... the dead give-away was the smoke coming out of the control box.

You do realise kev that it is a cardinal sin to let the smoke out of anything electrical
