crumbling holes
Hi Gang,
we have a 100yr old house, presumably sandstone walls, I'm tryin to put up new timber venetian blinds however when i drill into wall, the sandstone just crumbles away on some of the holes, leaving a larger hole than is needed (i am using smaller drill than is meant for the plug), which means the wall plug is loose in the drilled hole and therefore cannot insert scew !
two questions,
1.should i not use standard plastic wall plugs as anchors, not sure what else to use ?
2.what would be best filler to fill in holes that i can redrill holes and fit the wall plugs ?
any advice ??
thanks, Oop's
