    Default Veneering a dashboard?

Hi, I'm new to the forum and looking for advice. I live in Canberra and I'm restoring a Triumph Dolomite Sprint and need to re-veneer the dash. I'm currently sourcing the veneer, preference is a maple burr, and would like to know the glue and varnish to use? I'm tending towards a marine grade high gloss such as Wattyl Weatherguard? I need to re-do the door cappings as well - these may have to be in a matching, non burr veneer and will need to be "bent" over to 90deg. Will I need to soak the veneer in water fisrt to get this shape? Any help/advice appreciated. Thanks, JohnTR666

When I did my Wolseley I used PVA and finished with Rustins Plastic coating machine polished, that was 6 years ago last time I saw it it was still like new, yes you will need to soak or steam the veneer, I made up a pattern to cramp the veneer until it dried
