G'Day from the frozen north.
Hello from Alberta, Canada
I am here to learn more about woodworking from whoever is willing to share. I am doing more turning than anything else at the moment due to the fact it is a balmy -25 C outside and makes it hard to get everything set up in a little over 15 inches of snow.
Not a lot of experience in any one aspect of wood working, except making a mess of the shop (according to the wife
). I did a serious upgrade to my lathe this year when I got a Vicmarc VL 300, and a load of new extras to go with it.
Looking forward to all the advice, and comments (good, bad and otherwise) you are willing to share.

Welcome.
I don't know what -25 celsius or 15 inches of snow means.
At the moment here it's +30 celsius and I'm sitting next to a fan.
Looking forward to winter when it will be a chilly +20 celsius.
I'm pretty sure -25 celsius is illegal.

mjmjm: If -25C is illegal what do you call the day we had that was around -50C??? The worst part of it was that the only place on earth that was colder was Siberia, not a good claim of fame. I would rather have your "chilly" winters

Bruce, -50 C is a capital offence down here.
