Applying floor finish
Hi Guys,
I'll be applying Cabots Water based CFP gloss finish to my floors this weekend with lambswool applicator and just wanted some tips on the application, etc. I know all of the stuff that is recommended on the tin and in brochures, but I was hoping for some advice from you guys
Some of my questions:
- How long do I leave it to dry in between coats? (I'm in Sydney, so its a bit cold and rainy these days)
- Do I need to sand inbetween coats, and if so, what sort of grit?
- How long do I have once its on the floor before it starts to become hard to spread?
- What is the best method to cut into the corners and in awkward spots? Brush?
- Is there any specific type of brush that gives good results?
Thanks for any help!
Dan
