If the Chaser boys ran for office, I would vote for them in a heartbeat.....
I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

Hmmmm.
Lignum. I've not heard that the Melb Chamb Orch were in on it.
I'll take your word for it though.
I'm in for a good laugh....ofcourse! But not in such an undignified way I reckon.
It purses me off that any media org can write and say what ever they like about anyone. Nearly anything . Or invade and convict you on TV with a report about you. I dislike journalists who display contempt for dignity.
ABC aftrenoon radio recently said that there are no laws telling media that they can't film and publish whatever they like. This is gross.
Was it ok for Ch7 to publish personal medical records of a human living in this world? No ....it was not ok. AFL footballers I mean.
As a player I would tell them at the start of my playing yrs that they must 1st seek my permission to write about me and I would be proof reading it. No one has a right to know anything about me if I choose to maintain a private life. On and off the field.
Rubbish to say " But your public property". Rubbish.!
The public convict innocent people by media. And then they've found to be innocent of whatever it was. They are muck rakers. Misfits. ABC radio is great.
But taken over buy comedians I'm sad to say. And now the TV is heading that way. But I love Spick'n' Specks. ABC has Foreign correspondant and some good people programs and current affairs. All good too.
Cheers.Don't pass them by! Be daring and caring!
Dampen their misery....sit with them and talk a little.
Buy them something to eat and a tram fare to a local mission.
I'm so lucky that I've somewhere to live and have family support.

Yep.
Christopha??? I love a good target shoot. Bring on the snipers.
Misfits are good fun to target when they unfairely target unsuspecting decent people. Not Dubbya though.
Might of even get Little Johnny outa office if it had of happened. Bugger! . But he won't recall will he?. Or say " I wasn't informed".
Cheers.Don't pass them by! Be daring and caring!

According to the news there was a small contingent of snipers (to be used in their own choppers to overfly the the US motor cavalcade) amongst the 650 US personnel that accompanies the US president on his little jaunt down here.
All of them have been given diplomatic status and thus immunity.
I believe that all APEC delegates and their entourage have diplomatic status so I would be very surprised if the Russian and Chinese delegation didn't carry arms as well.

Not quite true. There are laws of libel and privacy that govern what is printed.
Also not true. Ch 7 did not publish personal medical records of anyone. They reported that illegal drug taking was rife in one AFL club. Talk about the AFL and their players shooting the messenger rather than facing up to the ugly reality that illegal drug taking is rife in the AFL and the clubs, league and players are covering up such illegalities.
But I agree with you on Spicks and Specks.
Peter.

If they want to show up security then sneak into Lucas Heights, Pine Gap. Amberley, Williamstown or any one of a dozen other places.
They did it for ratings, no other purpose, and as far as I know, chasing ratings is not amongst any of the mitigating circumstances for a crime, so toss the book at them.
At face value this stuff may be funny, but what would have happened if it had coincided with a real problem? The security staff would have a nightmare on their hands and those chaser guys would have been in a pretty serious bunfight. Putting themselves and others at risk.
It was immature and dangerous, they proved their point at the FIRST checkpoint, so why on earth keep going if it wasn't for ratings?

What about the fact that if they had of been genuine terrorists with a bomb and an appetite for destruction, then they would have gotten far enough in to create an International incident.
The only incidents/terry wrist attacks that the governments and their high-level 'intelligence' groups behind them don't have control over, are events like the Boxing Day Tsunami....get my drift?
IMHO of course.I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

Not from where I'm sitting! Standing outside Lucas Heights with a video camera is not exactly "sneaking in" is it?

I think its pathetic that so much money is being wasted to give the moron president a BBQ and a sales boos t for Drizabone coats Iwhich are basically for maintain cattlemen to wear. They're all a bunch of tossers and they should have had their stupid meeting via video link. Ahhh..but I forgot, Bush can't work out how to turn a video camera on....
And, why on earth would the US send 20 vehicles and 650 support/security personnel to a "friendly" country. Were they scared the Chaser crew might get to him?....If you never made a mistake, you never made anything!
