relating this thread yesterday to some fellow woodies

The story came out of one fellows troubles wearing one.

Just like Cellist but he was wearing it at a demonstration not only did he suffer the problem of hot air rising but also the embarrassment of not hearing it while his audience did.

    I understand methane is poisonous.

Suppose if it's trapped in the helmet it won't harm the environment.

I guess if we caught them in jam jars and buried them my could do our bit for global warming. (Carbon sequestration? )

TL, you can catch them in jam jars, and a week later, when opened under the nose of a friend, will still have the desired effect.

Just imagine when they unearth them in a few centuries.. Maybe the could clone someone from a fart by then. Or invent a new type of anthropology. What did people eat in 2008.

Now we know for sure the Triton is only to trap dust; very informative review . LOL
Getting a fart inside your helmet would have the greenhouse effect

You could also just casually wander behind someone at the appropriate time. A way to sabotage the more annoying and know-it-all wood turner.

Done years ago at a prominent woodworking show. Smelling salts is worse though in large doses.
