OK so I haven't followed the cup for a few years, my big international experience is the Marley Point

Crewed in that one year (1981?). Most years the sun comes up on a logjam of boats in McLellan Strait. The year I sailed, there were boats knocked down on lake Wellington, run aground on Metung Point & Raymond Island, and we punched a hole in the side of another boat that tacked out of control in front of us - all before sunrise.

At the moment, you could sail right across Raymond Island

We had Nationals down there once, a nice place to be.
