Cliff, L474, the main RADS building as you knew it.

Iain, SUPCOM died last century (literally!). Do try and keep up

Bennylaird, I fell through the floor of those wooden buildings, nearly broke my back. Thankfully they pulled them down.

Done by civ contractors now, that is what Pete is off to do.
Will be for the pigs, they have at least another 4 years of life left in them & that may be extended too.

Did you ever see that poem about Daks? Used to be around when I first stated work at Qantas over 40 years ago. All I can remember is the last 2 lines -
"They'll still be making bloody dough,
When other planes no longer fly."

Witnessed the passing of the Daks in RAAF service down at East Sale, They did a mock funeral with a nose section mounted on a trailor and everyone dressed in black. The fly past was great watching Machhis, Ct4, Draggies and Daks all trying to fly in formation at the same speed......

You would not recognise the place, all built up on Point Cook (Aviation Road), now they are complaining as apparently aircraft are flying overhead? Go figure. I think Nicks Pizza is still going just near Millers Rd, was always a popular stop on the way back to base.
