You're asked to show a new worker around, they ask you how long you've been doing this for & when you tell them, they go 'Wow! I wasn't even born then'.
Been there, still got the scars on the inside.

You know when you are getting older when:
Your barber offers to trim your eyebrows,
You still call your barber a barber, not your hairdresser.
You check out the chick in the short skirt and think, nah too young.
When you're talking to your friends, you usually end up talking about medical complaints.

Sigh! You definitely know you are getting older when a list like this seems to be describing you to a 'T'.
and recently you hear your son describe the 'when he was young' to a young kid who gasps at at his description of deprivation and ancient technology.

I have several (adult) students whose parents I trained!
This is a neat party trick. Part of the calcs we do involves simple multiplication (3 digits x 3 digits), which those of us of my vintage learned to do in our heads. Last week, running a class, the trainees couldn't see how we did this (it's just practice), so to make it simple for them, I pulled out my old circular slide rule.
I don't think they're going to give up their calculators.
