Plaster Going prices
G'day
Had a some cornice put up today, about 4m in length 6 angles.
Also fixed a small hole
Total $300
I wasn't there so not sure how long he spent.
What's the going rate for this work ?

You have not been overly slugged I guess he supplied the materials?
Plasterers will often charge out for a day if the job takes 3 - 4 hours including travelling time. As it may not be worth going to another job. At $35 per hour plus materials, including going to the store to pick up the materials, well its not that bad.
If you were to get a price for this from several plasterers the price range may be $250 to $350.
Unless you were getting it done at mates rates or a guy that works during the week then gets his beer money by doing small jobs, you will not get much better prices i don't think.
Its very hard to comment and be fair and objective about what someone has charged for a job unless it is a glaring rip off.
Personally I would charge the lower end of the scale.
