It's my pleasure to contact you for a business venture which I intend to establish in your country, Though I have not met with you before but I believe one has to risk, confiding in someone to succeed sometimes in life.
There is huge amount of money Fouteen million Seven hundred thousand U.S dollars my late Father kept for me in a Bank here in Abidjan Cote D' Ivoire before he was poisoned to death by his business associates on one of their outings on a business trip.
Now, I have decieded to invest the money in your country or anywhere safe enough outside Africa for security purposes, I require your assistance to transfer the money out of africa to a more relaxed environment, an environment free from political disturbances, riots, civil war and demontration, an environment where human rights are respected. I want you to help me to transfer this fund to your country for investment purposes on the followings below:
1). Telecommunication
2). International School
3). Five star hotel
If you can be of an assistance to me, I will be pleased to offer to you 15% Of the total fund.
Extend my warmest regards to your entire family.
Thank you and God bless you.

But Bob, just think of the opportunity you are passing up!
On a related theme, several months ago I advertised my son's Playstation for sale on eBay with a "Buy it" feature. In spite of the fact that I made it clear that it was only to sale in Australia (partly owing to shipping costs, but mostly that not all other countries use the PAL system we have), a "lady" in Nigeria decided to "buy it" for her "beloved husband who works so hard". This person requested my bank details to deposit the money directly into my account. Needless to say I refused to do so. While I doubt that they could access my account to withdraw funds, there was a chance that (a) this was just a prank on someone's part, (b) that they will cancell the funds at some point, or (c) overpay and ask that you send them a refund, with their money coming from a fraudulent source (this is the usual strategy). Mostly it was a big frustration since I lost the opportunity to sell to someone above-board as the auction was ended prematurely.
Regards from Perth
Derek

I got it too, Bob. I didn't read it though, just deleted it immediately.
I wanted to become a brickie but my old man said "No son, learn a trade."

Bob, I got something similar 2 weeks ago.
I replied that before going in to this I wanted to check their bonifides and could they please supply me with the name of their bank and branch, account name and account number so I could verify the amounts quoted as being available. No reply as yet.
Peter.

Head Woodsman,
Might be time to upgrade security to this site, I was also hit by this person. $1.4m would be handy, but at what cost.
Try and get the scumbag if possible.
