    Default Hi from Toowoomba

    Hi everyone,
    I signed up just yesterday, thanks to the admin team for allowing me to join. My name is Harry, I was a welder/boilermaker/machinist for the first 20 years of my working life and then an Engineering Draftsman from 2002 until now. I've always had a love of timber, the warmth and unique character it possesses is such a contrast to steel. I've dabbled in furniture making with several nice pieces to my credit, a bookcase, coffee table, blanket chest, bed side tables etc. Retirement is looming and I've decided to spend more time turning good wood into sawdust and perhaps learn a bit along the way from the good folk within this group.

    G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Harry" .....
    There are a good few members on the Darling Downs with a stack members around Brisbane and cross South East Queensland plus the rest of the country.....
    You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
    Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
