    Default Subtle Avatars

I have noticed some Avatars are run of the mill pictures and others are more personal.

Christopher's current avatar shows either a nasty wound on the back of his head or lipstick - what does it mean? Did his SWMBO discover the lipstick and then belted him?

CraigB's shows a dinasaur - to do with the machine he works on (A mainframe)

Mine shows a No 2 bench plane with one of my pet snakes checking out the finer points of the bedrock mechanism.

What are the subtle messages in your Avatar that others may not have noticed?

I've never actually noticed the snake before. Cool!

Mine obviously is a none to subtle reference to my lefthandedness which has been a major factor in my chosen sport.
    Cheers,

I must look around for something that's a bit more descriptive.

Mine is the image of William of Ockham. He is credited with discovery of the razor (Occam's Razor), which he found under a bush on the side of the road when he was on his way home from the Friar and Fiddle Inn one Sunday evening. He saw it glistening in the moonlight and picked it up. His theory was that it had been put there by men from the moon. Their intention had been to lay in wait until someone walked by, whereupon they would leap out and slit the throat of the passerby. However, they had become bored and wandered off just minutes before William came along.

He used the razor to shave his scalp but it wasn't very good so he threw it away.

    Or not.

Silent, you really have surpassed yourself. That has to be the greatest load of bovine excreta I've heard in a long time. LOL

Mine shows my Yellowtail underconstruction. She's progressed a lot since that pic was taken but doesn't look that different at avatar size. Once there's a dramatic difference, I'll change it and once it's finished, I'll be using my next project - the Samar

    Ummmmm...

Mine is just because I work for Felder. Have to convey corporate image and all that stuff.

I wish I could have Doug the Slugs' avatar. It kind of distracts me from the thread I'm reading but I just.......can't........stop........looking
