There are occasions on these forums where the staff at Bunnings come in for a bit of criticism. Sometimes the criticism is warranted often it's not.
Just to give everyone an idea of some of the idiots people we have to deal with on a daily basis I have attached this photo. This is not a setup photo, nor is it photoshopped (except to disguise the rego #). It was taken last August at the Cranbourne store by a team member. Take a real good look.

Dumb. He shoulda' knocked out the rear window and stuck the ends into the back seat area - wouldn't have needed to buy rope then!!!

Don't be silly, If he's taking out the back window he can take out the front one as well and wouldn't need the trailer.

I was talking about the trailer being too long for a single axle.

It's not clear from the photo, but I'm assuming he had a tin of auto paint in there somewhere too. Let's hope he didn't have too many sharp culverts to travel through and it was the day of the police picnic .

Seriously though, how could anyone contemplate roping a plank like that? I'm a little gobsmacked. A few sandwiches short of a picnic comes to mind.

Maybe he was thinking he was going to drive in a straight line all the way home.

Actually he couldn't even get out of the parking bay, and had to unload the timber. I'm going to ask the guy who took the photo what the end result was, I'll see him on Thursday, stay tuned.

This is an extreme case, however just last Friday a customer had 6 metre lengths of ecodeck running from his trailer into the rear of his Ford Territory. Another time four guys in a station wagon held on to a 1800 x 900 benchtop, I told them we had rope. Answer.......... We're only going round the corner bro.

I'm presuming you've seen the pic of the WV Jetta with a ton or so of plywood on the roof rack and so many cement bags in the back that the tow bar is scraping the ground????
