Seats with no coils???
Hi, I recently purchased a balloon chair for my first little diy upholstery job.
I looked underneath, took off the fabric and found there to be webbing, some foam but NO springs/coils? l am a complete beginner, so pardon my ignorance, but l thought all chairs required coils?
any advice on what to do from here?
Thanks guys.

Bonita..perhaps post a pic. I'm about to do some first-time upholstery repairs as well. I' am doing an old piano stool (of course, webbing, padding, but no springs...its in a thread under the retoration section) and also need to tackle a cojpe of late 1800's grandfather & grandmother chairs that I am about to fall through!! You can often find balloon back diners and drop in seats with just webbing and hessian on the top of the frame.
