IronBark recycled timber bed - Wax finish advice needed please
Hi Guys, I'm in the process of putting together a very sturdy ironbark bed (made mainly from 300x50 recycled sections.
My main question is;
What surface finish can I use that will give a very dull finish (like an oiled finish) that will not (like oil will) stain bed sheets covers?
I was thinking a wax, due to wanting it slightly darkened, with a very natural dull finish. I really have no experience in this area and know that I dont want a varnish but am not sure if wax is the answer? -will it stain sheets & covers after it's set? - Which wax or product brand would you recommend?
Also, the surface is not dressed, but rather 'hand brushed', Really interested in your ideas and advice...
Many thanks,
Peter.
