I was going to stay out of this but............
Just cracked a rum and pepsi - the first of a few - this thread is "hill-airy-ass" so what next - sound generators at 20 paces?
I'm the first to admit that what you blokes are on about is beyond me but as this forum is about helping each other out to the best of our ability and with the best experiences/data we have available I would have thought that some conclusion could have been agreed upon by now.

If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.

This thread reminds me of my schooldays more than half a century ago when we used to measure the speed of sound in physics and call each other stupid dust tubes.
cheers,
Jim

Thank you all for contributing, I think have found the answer I was looking for when I started this thread !
Particular thanks for the light hearted, off topic, diversions, that is one of the best things in this forum. Gentlemen, you know who you are, take a bow, you are an unsung treasure of this forum, one can always count on you to bring humour into any topic!
Finally, special big thank you to Steve, mate you have taught me a valuable lesson.
NOTE: Just in case anyone has any doubts, this is quite sincere and genuine.Branko
