Getting glue into splits in timber
I use a hypodermic syringe with the needle still attached ( one of my old ones from the last hit...No! Just joking) I get them from the Vet and the needle is of a larger bore than human medical ones.
Leave the needel as it is with the sharp end, put a cork on it when not in use.
I find that if I use just a small amount of PVA to repair the split, before clamping that I hav the glue in the split adn not all over the work.
I also clean out the syringe each time I use it.
You get good pressure from the hypo to ensure the glue enters deep into the split. Then clamp and wipe of excess.
