Anyone have any idea how to work out glass specs other than off plans? I've been building a lot of timber doors and windows and the glass type/thickness was specified on some of the jobs (new work, plans drawn up) but I've also had a couple of jobs building windows for existing houses without any plans or specs. In the past I had a supplier who would specify what glass I should use, based on size, location, placement, terrain category etc etc. None of the suppliers want to spec the glass now, probably worried about legal liability issues. I've googled to find some type of online calculator or guide without success. Any ideas?
