What Else in Your Life.
Reading the occasional post about non-woodwork related stuff, like Jow and his painting, has made me realise that there is possably more to you bunch than woodwork.
Anyone care to spill their guts about their other hobbies, or is woodwork your all consuming passion.
I'll kick off withBonsai (25 yrs), Sourdough Bread (26 yrs), Fishing (56 yrs).

I have an interest in sex , however my wife doesn't see the fascination, so I seem to do it by myself mostly. :eek:

Computers, Micro Controllers, Electronics, Valve Amplifiers, Woodturning, Woodcarving, Woodworking, Gardening, Bonsai, Orchids, Guitar, Blues, Australian Wine, Travel, Motorcycles, Motor Sport, Fishing, & currently very involved in doing the lighting for live theatre at the Majectic Theatre in Malanda. 2 productions in progress, one opens tomorrow night the other at the end of this month.

. occaisionally Leatherwork - book covers, coin purses etc
. sewing - household furnishings, baby cot blankets - great gifts for everyone else, fixing HWMNBO's shirts and jeans, weaving ribbons, etc
. gardening - if we weren't on water restrictions
. wood forum parties
. reading - passes the time till it's woodwork time

Mokume Gane (specialised metal working technique)

Grade cricket, short handed ocean racing, snowboarding, cricket, restoring old tools, the kids, European history, cricket, holidays with the mates (usually stemming from above) far from home where we seriously misbehave.

shooting small songbirds.
pulling wings off bees.
feeding wild pigs with the carcases of bees and small birds.
rolling about in goat dung.
tying lizards to trees in my backyard and encouraging the local cats.
using a lighter and a can of mortein/mr sheen to incinerate ants and wasps.
helping little old ladies halfway across the road.
helping people change thier flat tyres and secretly puncturing the spare tyre.
feeding pigeons laxatives in busy public squares.
that keeps me pretty busy most days...Zed
