Satellite Internet Connection
Well I finally got rid of Bigpond satellite and changed over to http://www.clearnetworks.com.au/satellite.html
I was able to reduce my monthly access cost by $20.00 increase my download limit to 1gig increase my upload speed to 256kb/s and have a capped plan instead of paying excess charges.
Because I have an ABN I was able to get a second Broadband Connect subsidy and by taking a three year contract I got it installed for free.
I ordered it last Friday week and they installed it on the following Wednesday. Although all the installer had to do was take the Bigpond satellite dish off the stand and install the the new one and program the computer.
It took me two days to change all my emails etc over to my new email address. To make it run in my network all I had to do was get rid of their crossover cable and make up a patch cable and plug it into my hub.
If any one wants satellite broadband they have to have it installed before the 13th August because that is when their money runs out so give them a call 1300 855 215.
If any one wants a Bigpond Satellite dish and a two way modem I have one for sale.
