As a frequent flier, I get annoyed when other passengers disregard
the airline attendant's plea to stay seated when the plane taxies to
the gate.
One attendant captured my heart by announcing:
"The captain will be parking the aircraft at Gate 41 in approximately
two minutes.
I've seen the captain's car. So if I were you, I'd remain seated."
On a flight to Los Angeles (LAX) one of the flight attendants was banging the service cart into every other row of seats. I asked her work partner if she drove on the I-405. (The closest multi lane highway to LAX.) Snickering, the answer was, "Nah, she lives in Atlanta." I did get a free drink by asking the question, however.
