First time sander....
Hi,
I am new to this forum (so please excuse stupid questions )! We have just purchased a house and are very excited to start reno's. Our first project is sanding the floors .
Two of the rooms have laquer on them and two had carpet so the wood is bare. The wood is cyprus pine and we would like to do a light sand to clean the laquer and paint splatters off the wood.
I was wondering what sander to use? We dont want to use a drum sander incase we stuff it up so I am wondering if we should use an orbital sander? How does this work with the grain of the wood?
Also, is there a stain that works well on the pine?
Thanks
