Background colour to site pages
Hey folks ,
have the page appearance (quick style chooser ) options been whittled down ? I used to have a light tan background , now all I am able to get is white / gray .

I too would like to have the option of the older light tan or brown pages.
I suffer from an eye disorder and the bright pages make it difficult to use unless I turn my own monitor itself, down. I already use Neil's dark as a standard, but the pages are still too bright.

There is a darked version on the way, been working on it for a week or so but won't be ready for a few days at least.
There could be a case for adjusting monitor settings as the colours for neils and neils dark are blue and fawns not grey and white.
The new ones will start about 10% darker than what's on here now. Unfortunately the one to which you refer was lost in the upgrade and won't be back no matter what.
Here's a sneak preview:

Ok , Thanks for that . I will adjust the monitor a tad to reduce the glare .
I have been away for a month , working construction over in South Westland at Franz Josef Glacier , and had no idea about the upgrade .
cheers ,

That will be much better, many thanks for that. I know the colours are different, but different colours will either reflect or (in this case) transmit slightly differently.
As it stands now, when I'm on this site, I have my monitor turned down two steps of brightness and also use Neil's dark, this makes it possible to view without using my sunglasses.
It is a pity about the loss of the previous colour, but that is the way it is.
Mick.
