Limewash Finish: 2nd hand flooring
I've had 2nd hand blackbutt t&g flooring installed throughout most of my house - unfortuantely I've come up short and need about 10-12 more sq metres of the same to complete the job (see my other post in the Timber forum).
Due to the scarcity of similar size and quality blackbutt, (ie. 98x22mm 2nd hand), I may be forced to compromise with another timber - most likely Tallowwood if I can get some.
I've always intended to have a LIMEWASH finish after sanding, but am concerned that the blackbutt and tallowwood may scrub up quite differently if this is done.
The result would of course be more noticeable if clear finish used on both types of timber, although both are fairly light coloured timbers.
Any suggestions welcome.
