staining jarrah
Has anyone had success staining a light jarrah to match a darker jarrah sample? I have tried a few Cabots brand stains yesterday on the lighter jarrah but didn't get close to matching the darker jarrah that I am using.
Has anyone tried to do the same and can recommend a stain type or technique?
Darren, I saw that you had a simlar post about a year back when you were trying to stain some mismatched jarrah bed posts - but I don't think you had any replies. Did you have any luck with that?
Anyone else out there who can help?

its called color matching and you test on scrap pieces of wood from the finish piece or on an area unseen.....find a factory colour that is close then add the neutral colors until the desired colour is obtained...simple...and not much different from color matching solid colors..
