Default Flexible hose in Air con piping

    Dear all

is it possible to use flexible high pressure hose (like hydraulic hose) to connect air con split system instead of using copper pipe?
I have got problems piping copper tube through the wall and ceiling and connecting to outdoor system.

    Short answer - no.

Long answer. Get a fridgy to have a look at it. It is very surprising where a fridgy is able to put pipework. There are various tricks of the trade!

I'll disagree with Tas_Dean on "technicalities"... but for all intents and purposes he's right.

Braided a/c line is available (look at any auto a/c) at suitable specs for domestic a/c, however the price is astronomical compared to solid line, as are the fittings, and it is nowhere near as durable in the long term. AND you'd still need a licensed a/c installer to fit it...
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.
