Default The Official Adelaide Test Thread

So what do you call a Pommy cricketer with 100 against his name?

    A bowler.

Let's see now, Adelaide.... England bat first, score 600, Australia first innings: 700. Five days - draw!

    Cheers,

    P

    Couldn't do any worse.

Hear the keeper is moving to slip for Harmisons deliveries?

Well Adelaide usually is the flattest of flat tracks.

Looks like Stuey won't be getting a gurnesy either.

Close Pete I reckon England 1st 250 2nd 400 with Flitoff (oops Flintoff) and the yarpie scoring quick 100's and Australia's total 5 runs short.
that will keep the crowds coming in and the players get there percentage and the ACB happy. Cynical plick aren't I

Hope its another win and the way the Brit Bunnies are playing their selectors should pick from the barmy army...some good looking sheilas there AND probably less incline to sulk over sledging , they seem to be able to give it back

I only managed to hear the cricket commentation once (on the car radio) at Brisbane and Strauss was out after the second ball was bowled.
So I'm not switching on for the Adelaide test.

Looks like the English crowds are like Essendon supporters? Never see them when they are loosing?

    I don't think that's fair Benny, (except in jow's case ) .

The Army managed to get a mob of seats together yesterday, and gave it all it was worth, and good on 'em.

(That's why the O'Keefe comment I relayed yesterday, about how great they would have been at keeping everyone's spirits up on the Titanic!)

    cheers,

    P

Your right about the Barmy Army, they are great for the game.

The supporters I referred to are the ones at work that were so loud last Ashes

used the wrong word when I typed crowds

Let's hope the [so called] security is a little more human than the Bne test.

By all means, toss the ferals out :mad:, but let's get real, it's a game to be enjoyed - part of which is the barmy army [trumpet player and all], and the Aussies in all their forms.

What really is the problem with the "Mexican Wave"? or will they allow that now that they are in fact in what most up here call Mexico?
