The wife and I were at a resturant the other night and we were sitting next to an elderly couple.
They were going over the menu in detail and finally put their order in.
While we were waiting for our food to arrive we got chatting to them to pass the time away.
Finally their order arrived. It was one hamburger for both of them. The husband carefully cut it half and proceeded to eat. His wife sat there watching him.
My wife, being very compassionate, thought that maybe they could not afford a hamburger each, and offered to buy the wife one for herself.
The woman replied that they always shared everthing and thanked her for offering to buy another burger.
The woman continued to sit and watch her husband eat his half of the burger and didn't touch her half.
My wife was wondering what was going on and asked the woman 'why don't you eat your burger, what are you waiting for?' and the woman replied 'the teeth.'
