Knotty Alder - French Polish
I would like to approximate a French Polish Pine finish on a project to include a mantel & fireplace breast and flanking cabinetry. I plan to use knotty alder in lieu of pine. I don't need to be authentic, but I like the aged golden amber look of the French finish. Has anyone done this on alder? Do you have any ideas or advice.
Thanks
