Thumbs up to Majorpanic!
I just spent a wee while wandering around this self professed self taught woodbutcher of notes website here and I reckon hes worthy of some grand back slappin!
Excellent stuff mate!
Only disheartening thing about it was theres not a hell of a lot there!! Man you gotta update that site! You do some very fine work ol son and it was good to have an actual gander at what camphor laurel turns out like
So Majorpanic... cheers!Believe me there IS life beyond marriage!!! Relax breathe and smile learn to laugh again from the heart so it reaches the eyes!!

Major is a fine woodworker and he is certainly one of the best here.
Not bad for a Queenslander.

Met a few Deano met a few... most were pretty fine lookin sheilas willin eager and beautiful... well not quite up to our own West Aussie sheilas but near as... ooh the blokes? slack as note prime example one Majorpanics web site... slack I say slack
The boat Teejay? Its the "Grey Seal" by Iain Oughtred plans available through Duckflats in South Aussie http://www.duckflatwoodenboats.com.au (I think) Its based on the Norse fishing boats of the Koster design but Iain doesnt favor just one design so hes put a fair bit of the Scottish fishin boats into its design... beautiful thing isnt she?... 22ft if memory serves but I could be a few feet out here or there as Ive not seen the plans for over 6 months... Id buy the plans again and have a go at her but the missus has me on a diet as far as boat plans go which is sad dont yer think? but then it is motivating!
Motivating in that she will allow me to buy more plans but only on condition I build a boat first!! so Im building 2 canoes a Stevensons Weekender and a Atkins Valgerda... TAKE THAT WOMAN!!! slap! stop me from buyin me flamin boat plans will yer? I'll fill yer ruddy 2acres with boats for that!!!
ooops Ive wandered again havent I? aah majors work!! mighty fine woodbutcher he is for sureBelieve me there IS life beyond marriage!!! Relax breathe and smile learn to laugh again from the heart so it reaches the eyes!!

Thanks Wild Dingo for the kind words about the web site & yes..............
I've been quite slack about doing an update.
I was planing on doing an update after I finished the next few projects
I gotta make 1 gents & 1 ladies jewellery boxes (a commission no less ) & 8 dining chairs (for us). The plans fro the chairs are well advanced & the lamination form is made.
I've been working 12hr days lately so a lot of workshop activity has been suspended cause it's EASY to cut yer thumb off when ye is tired! (personal experience)
Ryan, as to the bench........ the Silver Ash was supposed to go into the kiln last week but I haven't heard anything yet. I'll find out next week!
