    Default Old Woodies Syndrome

Oh yes, there are many symptoms. Who among you cringed when your father took you to museums and talked about how he used to use the tools on display ... but now you find yourself going to museums and looking at tools that YOU used to use

Worst case of tool cringe so far this year was in the NZ Kauri Museum, which is not a bad place to hang out for half a day.

In the kitchen section two carver's mallets, both of different forms and both quite clearly carver's mallets, labelled "potato mashers".

    Cheers,

Did I tell you the time..............?
I love old tools. The way they made them, solid, simple, precise and ever lasting
All these projects. Not enough lifetimes to finish them.
