Tassie Oak Finish
Hey Guys,
I'm quite new to woodworking, but have some small tassie oak units that are ready for finishing.
Was thinking of using a Danish oil, as I won't to keep the pieces quite light still in appearance. Was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions, and whether there's a preference between the Cabot's, Watco and Organoil.
Also unsure of what to put over the Danish oil. I know I don't want a gloss, but not sure what product to use.
Thanks for everyone's help and input!
Ryan

I recently made a coffee table in tassie oak using 2 coats of watco danish oil, and then about 5 coats of minwax satin wipe on poly. Honestly, I could have skipped the danish oil. I did the poly because I wasnt convinced the soft tassie oak would hold up against a beating with just danish.

I also made some side tables and used only minwax satin wipe on poly, looks the same as the coffee table.
