    Default Joint cement for villaboard

    Hi all,

Does anyone know if I can use CSR 'All purpose joint cement' on villaboard for the bathroom?

It's primary use is for gyprock, but was wondering if it would be ok for villaboard?

    Any thoughts or alternate products?

    Thanks

    - Wet area use wet area compund.
    - Outside use extiror compund.
    - non of the above the std is ok.
The above is recommed by manufacter but any would work in the real world

Another question, what sort of durability would Villaboard have outside? Blueboard costs almost twice as much for 7.5mm cf 6 mm.

Villaboard is meant to be water resistant so surely it could be used outside.
I'm planning to clad the new garage in fake cement render, and was looking for a cheap easy way. There are no eaves.

Any idea on the best textured coating or just paint it with Stone effect solaguard or something.

    Thanks in advance
Sorry about the thread hijack... would have been better to start a new one in retrospect but I didn't realise how many questions I had.

I've had another look at prices. At Tradeconnect

    Blueboard (HardiTex) $11.44 per m2
    Villaboard $8.31 per m2

Must have seen some bunnies prices for the blueboard or something

The Blueboard wins at that price. Pretty impressive results on those links. Pity about the mesothelioma.

    Thanks for the help.

    Cheers
