Hercus 9 operation help
Have been playing with my Hercus 9 & now understand some of the basics.
Have noted that when threading I can disengage the half nuts very quickly "on the run" such as when threading up to a hard stop or groove.
BUT
If I'm not threading but machining up to a similar shoulder I can't see any comparable way to quickly stop the power feed. So far I've been switching the lathe off, waiting for it to stop, then disengage the power feed & hand feed to the shoulder.
Is there a better way?
Thank you, Graham
