Default Floating Vinyl floating floor system and a timer floor slope

    Hi,

Has anyone had any experience with Harvey Norman's floating vinyl flooring system? It is sold as a DIY system and claims to need little or no floor preparation (other than removing lumps and bumps presumably). Another important claim made by the sales person is that it can be laid over a section of timber floor which has a slope.

I am aware of other solutions to my problem but they are either much more expensive or less satisfactory to our needs eg not keen on carpet for a number of reasons which include a 2 year old going through toilet training.. .

The slope claim particularly catches my eye since the majority of the other solutions involve a leveling agent. Anyone have any thoughts regarding this claim? (I appreciate that it will be difficult for you to comment if you haven't heard/seen the product).

    thanks,

    A

My advice on this, do not listen to anything that a Harvey Norman salesman sais, they usually have no idea what they are talking about. On the other hand a Vinyl can be laid over a slightly uneven surface, a floating timber floor never though.
