brushbox
I am in the process of making a few changes to an older home. Part of it is relining the walls with gyprock and learning how to put in new window stops and the other required bits & pieces. I want use brush box as the window sill itself. i am unsure as to what sort of finish I could use on it to bring out the natural look of the timber. I thought about oiling is but that will need to be done regulary as the morning sun will be hitting the timber through the glass. I wasn't sure as to how laquer would go as I havent used it for quite some time. I was hoping that I might be steeered in the right direction as i want to get this finished over the coming holidays so as I can start to plan the next room face lift.

I've used one pack poly on a brushbox parquetry floor with good results; for bbox woodturnings I like Danish Oil - lifts the contrast of what can be rather plain figuring
